The old adage that "knowledge is power" holds true. V2K franchisees come from varied backgrounds and consist of both men and women equally. Often, they have no direct experience in the window coverings industry and no knowledge of the cutting edge window treatment technology we use to expedite the sales process. The V2K training program is one of the most extensive in the window fashions industry, drawing on our 40+ years of experience in the window covering and home improvement business.
Training Lays The Foundation For SuccessPhase One
Phase One of our training is conducted at our corporate training center in Denver, Colorado. The two-week training program is taught and designed by our own seasoned industry experts who have the experience, knowledge and passion to teach you the window covering business inside and out!
In our training class, we focus on:
- Adding style to your decorative window treatment designs
- Coordinating bed covering and accessories
- Familiarizing yourself with our product knowledge and functionality
- Choosing the right fabrics from our extensive line of more than 3000 fabrics from name brand manufacturers
- Selecting the right decorative drapery hardware
- Managing and operating your business to the level of success and income you desire
- Maximizing your marketing dollars to drive leads to your business
One of our motto's at V2K is, "give a man a fish and he eats
for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime."
And, of course, you will learn how to use V2K's exclusive Décor Creator technology, including our proprietary Intranet system which makes upgrades, new product releases and pricing changes easy.
In Business For Yourself, Never By YourselfPhase Two
After successful completion of our initial window treatment training
course, you will be certified by V2K as a Window Fashion Professional.
Right out of training, you will be assigned two personal representatives
whose sole purpose is to help you launch your business. One of your
representatives will coach you on how to market your business in your local
territory, and will help you create your own personalized marketing plan based
on your target market, budget, personal situation, and business goals.
Your other representative will train and support you on all of the other
operation aspects of operating a franchise, and will be a single point of
contact for all non-marketing activities, such as preparing for appointments,
how to work the software, design tips, how to place the order, and so on and so
on.
Once you have been in their market for a few months,
(usually 6-12 months) we actually require that you come back to our
corporate office for advanced training (we pay for the travel). This is
to give you additional insight and guidance that, combined with your
own experience in the field, will help you get to the next level of
success in your business!
